Happy 98th Birthday!

My grandma Pima (my mother's mom) turns 98 on the 24th. She is amazing! She lives on her terms and can still tell cows what to do at her ranch and they listen! It was great to have a party and celebrate her life. 98!! I only hope to be as active at 98! My Dad's sister and brother-in-law, Don and Judy, were in town and got to come to the party!
Here is my cuz Molly and her baby Cici. This is a picture to show Andra why Cici (who is younger then Andra by 4 months) will always be taller than her.
Do not mind the baby's faces this was at about 8pm WAY past bed time!
I love this picture because Andra is looking at her cousins like "What are ya'll talking about?" and no that is not a mark on her face it is a bruise where her head met the wall.

Spring Break fun

In college I went to the beach, snow skiing, camping and other fun places over spring break. That has changed, but I am not sure I would have it any other way. Monday I took Andra to school so I could do some spring cleaning(with an old house i have to use the smelly stuff and i did not want Andra in the house), pulled weeds and other fun stuff. Tuesday we took Andrew's car in, went to the bank and did paperwork for the house. Wednesday I had a great hour and a half conversation with my dissertation chair. None of that would have been on the list when i was in college, including talking with a professor!! What made it great was all the extra time i got to spend with Andra. We went to the park, played, colored, and just had fun. Monday, taking her back to daycare for a full day 9-3 will not be fun for me. I really enjoyed having her home, lunching with friends, and just hanging out. I know I am lucky that i do not work 8-5 and that i should have taken her more days this past week to get my own work done i just loved having her home and not getting a lot done. I did not take many pictures but we did have a lot of fun. It was also great to have my parents here at the end of the week.

My Aunt Judy has made Andra a few outfits. Here is one that Andra wore this past weekend. To make it a complete Aunt Judy outfit she wore her "running" shoes too. Andra loves her New Balance shoes! It took us a while to find pink ones but they are cute and Andra does love to run!

Daddy and the slide

Andra loves the slide. We have one in our livingroom that she goes down at least 10 times a day. Today we went to the park and Andrew and Andra went down the slides a few times.

Great Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day! We had a great day. We started the day by going to church and to get tacos with aunt Alma. Here is Andra looking at her card. She loves cards. She also loves "Hoops and Yoyo" from Hallmark. We, Andra and I, got Andrew a birthday card with them singing and Andra still carries it around and dances to the music. So for Valentine's day she got one of her own. After lunch Andrew, Andra and I headed to the zoo. When we got there it looked like LOTS of other people had the same idea but we still had fun. We went to the children's area and Andra went by herself in the tunnels to look at the gofer's. We had her crawl because we were worried that it got shorter as she got closer to the window and we did not want her to hit her head.
She walked back from looking out the window at the end of the tunnel. She was short enough that she did not need to crawl.
She loves looking at fish.When we got home all she wanted was to swing.

All in all, it was a great Valentine's / family day!

Rodeo time in SA

We went to the San Antonio stock show today. This was Andra's first time and she had a blast.This was a little goat born today at 8am. The little girl was so cute an told us the names of all the animals she had there and that the baby's brother died, but that was ok because the sister lived. She talked very fast and about many different things.

Andra's favorite part was the petting area. She was so happy. It was hard to convince her to hold Andrew's hand the whole time she was in there. The bigger the animal, the happier she was.

We had a good time even though it was a little cold.

Andra was so much happier today at swimming then last week. Last week she was OK, no tears but not very happy. Today we had laughter and smiles, she was even OK with going underwater. Here she is walking on water. Be sure to turn off the sound. Andrew was behind the class in the parent watch/child play area.

Favorite trick

Short trip or long trip makes no difference to Andra, the socks and shoes must go.

Andra has her first swimming lesson on Saturday and I wanted to make sure we had a swimsuit that fit. Her Popi (Andrew's Dad) and Judith sent Andra this suit last summer (from their shop)but it was too big. Well, it fits perfectly now! Look hair!!!!! She really has alot of it but from the front you still can not tell; and yes i know "alot" is relative.
