I think we got out of the water at 8:30pm (normal bed time is 7) or so and even then it was had to get Andra out

Vacation....

Right after the performance Andra and I drove to my friend Christina's house in Allen. She and her husband have three great children. Last year when we came up Andra had a blast; this year was no different. Here are a few random pictures of our time up there.

She goes to a Montessori school so her class is 2-4 year olds. And if you look, they added a new student about a month a go, so Andra is no longer the youngest, or smallest; she will always be one with a large personality.

This was Andra's last swimming class with Andrew or I in the water. I have mixed emotions about this. She will take lesson in June but has been moved to the 3-4 year old preschool class (no parents in the water). Andrew and I are proud because she is not 3, sad because it means she is growing up.

Sea World

Andrew took the day off so we could all go to Sea World before the people get crazy. This summer we will just go for a few hours and then leave...i do not like waiting in line for everything

Last year she loved to go swimming, go under water ect but did not like splash parks. This year is different...

Bring it on Daddy! when we went over spring break this area was packed. This time we could play and have fun with out running into anyone!

We all had a GREAT day!

Teeth

The first time we took Andra to the dentist she was 1 ½ . We went because I thought her teeth were chipping. There were, they put a sealant on them and told us to come back in a year. So we did, and well the news was not good. In short, she need $1600 in dental work. She has VERY week teeth with little to no enamel but she has no cavities. With insurance it will only cost us around $800 so that is a good thing….right. It just sucks that she has to have surgery and be under for a few hours. That is what scares me the most now. All this for teeth that will fall out! But now we know why she will only lick lice cream and is very sensitive to hot or cold food; she will not bite down on anything that is not room temperature. And while I flipped out and cried for a few days I am grateful; grateful that we can fix it, that in the grand scheme of things (cancer, or a life endangering illness) this is not that big of a deal. It should not affect her permanent teeth and she will be ok.

All this and she did so good at the dentist. She climbed right up and told him she knew she had to “Ahhhhhh” and Eeeeee” to show off her teeth.

And then yes in a few years we have to fix that under bite.

first popsicle of the summer ...at home

First popsicle of the summer at home.I can tell she has them at school because she was all about showing me her tongue. The problem is the ones I get have no dye in them.

" Look at my red tongue ..o wait" yep the pig(white elephant gift from Christmas) is still around :)

Big girl bed..kind of

We still had Andra in her crib till last week, when we made the switch.

She did SO good in her "new" bed. All week at 6am she would call for us to come get her "out"(yep that is why she is asleep by 7pm. and yes we tried putting her down later, still at 5:30-6am we got "Mommy... Daddy...come get me please!"). Then once we got into the room she would jump out of the bed. My sister says she stays put because she is the first born and they do what they are told at her age.

I am just happy that it was easier on Andra then it was on me.
