Sprinkler time!

C & S gave Andra this sprinkler a few years ago.  Yes I said years.  Last year was really the first year we could use it and Andra wanted nothing to do with it.

This year she likes!

Sea World Aquatica

On Saturday we went to Sea World for the new water park, Aquatica.

Andra just could not wait. 

 Not alot of pictures, but the day made me want a waterproof camera.

There is a ride that has you go under the area where stingrays and fish swim.  Andra was very excited to be tall enough to go on that ride.  Was a little sad that she could not do others; but it did not last long as we would find another ride/pool that she liked. 

 Now we were very good about putting sunblock on, but we missed a few spots on Andrew.

 Yes, Andrew got burned but Andra and I didn't!

We had a great time!!!!

I am so glad that we have season passes and that Andra and I will be going many times during summer!

Sea World Time

After the performance we went out to lunch and then to Sea World!

Andrew had taken the day off so we wanted to take advantage of it.

 Andra is tall enough for some big girl rides now, and she LOVES them.

 This was Andra's first ride on a real rollercoster.  She loved it, I promise.  She asked to go again right when we got off.  The good thing was that no one else was there so we were able to get off walk around and go again, and again!

We also got to see the ski show.  It was closed last year because there was just no enough water in the pond.  It was an enjoyable show.

Andra's school had their end of year performance. 

Andra's class performed 3 songs and Andra did what she loves to do....she performed!

We just can not keep the girl from a microphone.

 The teacher tried to get her back in line.  She went for a little bit but then .....

 went back to the mic 

She loved it.  The two girls behind her are her best friends at school.  The three are always together and all three will be moving to the next class next year together!  Andra was on the edge because the next class is 4-6 year olds and the class they are in is 2-4.  Andra will not be 4 till after school starts but she "passed" all the skills needed to move to the next class!  So next year, she will be the youngest, and shortest, in the room again.

Andra had her first recital on Saturday.

(OK on Sunday we figured out that Bella and Andra are 4th cousins but who's counting!)

Andrew's work party

Andrew's work throws great parties!

This year the spring/summer party was at a ranch party place.

We started with lunch (that was great bbq) and then it was off for a hayride

and saw some great longhorns

and Andra got to feed them

 then we took a boat ride

 and lassoed some sheep

 and of course the bounce house

 and then she ran and ran

they also had bingo, fair games, egg and water balloon races ect...

We could not stay very long because Andra's recital was that night but we had a great time while we were there.

Andra was so tired from the day before she slept in till 7am and took a nap! 

Mother's day party

We had a family party on Saturday at my aunt Alma's house for Mother's day.

 It was a great part and the girls had lots of fun!

Alley Girl

My poor 12 yr old Alley

She has cancer and we had 3 tumors removed.  Due to her age, the Vet does not think cemo is a good idea.  She is not in any pain and still runs and plays like she was 2 and not 12. OK she is not jumping up to sleep on the bed but now she has a cone to scare Dundee with.

Andra got a bubble blaster at Fiesta (it was better the a blow up sward and the other things the street vendor were selling) and loves it.  It was her reward for being so good on a long, hot day.

April was busy!!!!

April was crazy!!!

but it is over! This was the last week of teaching class for
PAC and UTSA! (at least for this school year)

I am never teaching this many classes again!!!!

anyway, I will be better at keeping up with the blog. I told Andrew I could just quit my jobs and school so I can just stay home; but he laughed.

May should be better

all I have to do is finish chapter 2 of the dissertation :)
