Andra's new ride

We got Andra a bike seat and helmet for her birthday but today was the first time we got to use it. While she is still under 20lbs (the minimum for the seat), her head was good for a 2 year-old’s helmet. This was us trying it out in the house. I wanted to make sure that she stayed put and did not slide out. We just took her for a spin around the neighborhood and she appeared to like it. We will take her for a longer ride this week.

First UT game

We went to our first tailgate and UT game of the year today. It was a lot of fun but very hot.

Here is the view from our seats.We were there early to go to the Co-op and so Andra could get her normal morning nap as we drove to Austin.

It was fun to tailgate with the family and celebrate my parents anniversary.

Here is Andra loving the jumbotron picture of Bevo. She did great at the game. She loved the band playing and did not even mind the cannon; and it went off a lot. They only time she cried was when Colt was intercepted and the lady behind us went crazy and even then it was just for a moment then she was fine. I will say that she spent most of the time looking at the jumbotron and playing with all the people around us.

At this point she was hot and missing her afternoon nap.

She slept on the way home and then just wanted to play.

Last year....this year

Walking

Andra has been taking a few steps here and there, in-between Andrew and myself, from the couch to the table ect for a while. This week she has been walking more and more. She will now stand in the middle of the room and waddle where she wants to go. We have tried all week to get it on video but it never worked. Here are two videos from today of her walking. She is camera shy when it comes to the video, and I do not know why.

Family together

We had a family friend's 80th birthday party on Sat. It was fun that we had most of the family together. We were just missing Greg, Amanda's husband.

Andrew's two babies

Andrew got his 86.5 Turbo Toyota Supra (his first baby) out and let Andra get inside. This was what we drove away from our wedding in and has been in Andrew life since 1994. It out dates me by a year (we meet in 1995 but were just friends for a LONG time), and I have driven it once and that was when we had just started dating. Now I can stand on the clutch and I might get it to go down. I think he will keep the keys with him once Andra is able to drive. Yes we will still have this car in 15 years. We will more then likly have this car ....forever and he will still be buying parts for it.

UT Football season starts!

The first UT football game of the season was this weekend. While we did not get to go to the game (6pm start times do not go well with 7pm bed times) or even watch the game (it was PPV only) we made sure to wear burnt orange all day. Thank you Alma for the very cute shoes!
