almost 14 month

Andra went to the Dr today for her flu shot. She weighs 19lbs (10%), was 29in long (10%) and has a 19in head circumference (90%) . Looks like we will be facing backwards till we get hair ?!?!?!

Andra found the window in her room this weekend. It was very cute.

Another bike ride

This afternoon it warmed up so we went for a bike ride. Andra had so much fun. She was laughing and having fun but then I noticed she was quite. I rode up next to her and saw that she was asleep. She slept for the second half of the trip; even when Andrew hit a big bump. When we got home I ran inside and got the camera but expected her to be awake when I got back outside. Nope she was still asleep. I hope tomorrow is just as nice so we can go again.

We went for a walk/jog this morning but it was chilly out. Andra got this great outfit from Chase as a hand-me-down. Yes, Amanda did let Chase wear UT clothes, she did marry a Longhorn.

re-Christmas gift fun

Katy gave Andra these mittins for Christmas last year. Andra found them and wanted to wear them all the time last night. If she got them off she would bring them to you and and put her hand out. It was very cute. Here she was playing peak-a-boo. Loving on Dundee!

Andra's new ride

We got Andra a bike seat and helmet for her birthday but today was the first time we got to use it. While she is still under 20lbs (the minimum for the seat), her head was good for a 2 year-old’s helmet. This was us trying it out in the house. I wanted to make sure that she stayed put and did not slide out. We just took her for a spin around the neighborhood and she appeared to like it. We will take her for a longer ride this week.

First UT game

We went to our first tailgate and UT game of the year today. It was a lot of fun but very hot.

Here is the view from our seats.We were there early to go to the Co-op and so Andra could get her normal morning nap as we drove to Austin.

It was fun to tailgate with the family and celebrate my parents anniversary.

Here is Andra loving the jumbotron picture of Bevo. She did great at the game. She loved the band playing and did not even mind the cannon; and it went off a lot. They only time she cried was when Colt was intercepted and the lady behind us went crazy and even then it was just for a moment then she was fine. I will say that she spent most of the time looking at the jumbotron and playing with all the people around us.

At this point she was hot and missing her afternoon nap.

She slept on the way home and then just wanted to play.

Last year....this year

Walking

Andra has been taking a few steps here and there, in-between Andrew and myself, from the couch to the table ect for a while. This week she has been walking more and more. She will now stand in the middle of the room and waddle where she wants to go. We have tried all week to get it on video but it never worked. Here are two videos from today of her walking. She is camera shy when it comes to the video, and I do not know why.

Family together

We had a family friend's 80th birthday party on Sat. It was fun that we had most of the family together. We were just missing Greg, Amanda's husband.

Andrew's two babies

Andrew got his 86.5 Turbo Toyota Supra (his first baby) out and let Andra get inside. This was what we drove away from our wedding in and has been in Andrew life since 1994. It out dates me by a year (we meet in 1995 but were just friends for a LONG time), and I have driven it once and that was when we had just started dating. Now I can stand on the clutch and I might get it to go down. I think he will keep the keys with him once Andra is able to drive. Yes we will still have this car in 15 years. We will more then likly have this car ....forever and he will still be buying parts for it.

UT Football season starts!

The first UT football game of the season was this weekend. While we did not get to go to the game (6pm start times do not go well with 7pm bed times) or even watch the game (it was PPV only) we made sure to wear burnt orange all day. Thank you Alma for the very cute shoes!

1 year Dr appointment

We had Andra’s 1 year Dr appointment yesterday. She is very healthy and growing strong. She weighed 18.5 lb (10%) is 28 ½ in long(30%) and has a head circumference of 18 ½ in (85%). They took blood to do some tests (that did not make her happy) and she got 2 shots. She did not do any of the live virus shots as she and eggs have not gotten along in the past. I have to give her eggs two times in the next week; if she does not get sick then we will go do the flu shot. We will still hold off on the other two live virus shorts (MMR and chicken pox). She will get them, but not yet.

Andra's 1st Birthday Party

We had Andra's 1st birthday party this weekend! It was crazy fun. Andra had her own sugar, dairy and egg free cake. She was not crazy about it cold but once it warmed up she liked it. Yes, the cupcakes I made for everyone else had sugar, dairy and eggs.

Walking!

Last night were Andra's first steps!! Andra walked between Andrew and myself. It was so cool. She would stand up and stay there for a moment, then take 4 to 6 step to the other person and then balance there before she dive into that parent. She had done the drunken sailor walk between us before but it was always a stumble/ fall into the arms without real complete steps. I hope to get some video of it tomorrow when my mom gets into town.
