Happy Halloween

Happy baby

Andra is now smiling in response to us and just about anything else. She is even starting to squeal and giggle. It is great!

Andra loves to be swaddled. We cheat and use swaddles blankets that have velcro to keep her all wrapped up all night.

2 months

Andra is two months old today!

And for her birthday we went to the doctors and she got shots. I think they were as painful for me as they were for her; we both cried. She was fine the rest of the day, as long as you did not press on her legs.


Our little girl now weighs 9 lb 7.5 oz (11%) is 22in long (25%) and has a 16in head (75%).
The cat and both dogs still out weigh Andra. Yes I know, Dundee will out weigh her for a long time.

Pumpkin patch time

We went to the pumpkin patch with some friends this weekend. Kids are so cute. Why is it the little kids always love babies. Here is Garrett with Andra.

Happy birthday Greg!

Happy Birthday Greg/Freg! For those who do not know him. Greg is my sister, Amanda’s husband. We went up to Pflugerville to celebrate his birthday.









Andra got to be with four of her cousins this weekend. Madeline was the first to get to hold her.










Here is Andra with her Melanie and Chase. Melanie is 4 and Chase is 15 months. Yes, he is almost the same size as Melanie and she is the tallest child in her preschool class.






















Harrison wanted to hold Andra and Chase wanted to help. They were watching a&m play tech. Too bad someone had to win that game; but I must say I wish a&m would have beaten tech.

Cold morning

It was in the upper 50’s this morning when we went for our run and to us it was cold! We had to search for something for Andra to wear because most of her 0-3month clothes are sleeveless (for good reason). So thank you Amy for this very cute outfit that is just a little big. I am sure it will fit great in February . This is Andra when we got home from our jog.

Something new

Andrew and Andra tried out the Baby Bjorn today for the first time. They both liked it; Alley was not sure what to make of it.

First UT/ou game

What a great game!!!!

Great because we won!

It was so hard not to scream and yell at the TV like we normally do during good games, but we were good. She did go to sleep for the last half of the 4th quarter so we got to celebrate the win.

Learning to smile

6 weeks

I cannot believe that Andra is already 6 weeks old!
She is doing great and now weighs 8 pounds!

Mass on the grass

Today was our church festival so mass was held outside on the grass in fount of the church. It was not at our normal time so she was hungry and mad when we left. I guess it was good that we just had to walk two block home so I could feed her.

Power to the Baby

When Andra starts to wake up she straitens her arms and legs. But when she is not quite ready to wake up we just get one arm.

New things every day

Our new activity this week has been that she likes to follow things. She has been reacting to Andrew and my voices but now she will look at and follow toys. In this picture she is in her bed watching Bevo dance to the UT Fight Song. This is of’ course when we can get her to be still; she is a little wiggle worm.

Bath time

Andra likes bath time, most of the time. She crys till you get her wet, then she is fine. Thank you Tia Manda for the bath tub!

4 weeks old

Ike evacuees

My parents are visiting (they are Ike evacuees) from the coast. They did find out that their house is ok, a neighbor thinks. There is still no water or electricity so they are not going home till that is reestablished.
So till then they are holding Andra and enjoying spending time here.

3 weeks old

We went to the Dr today and Andra has now made it back to her birth weight!!! We have been going to the Dr three times a week monitering her weight. We are not out of the woods yet but at least we do not have to go back till Friday for a weight check!

Because we were working on Andra's weight I was having to pump and measure how much she was eating.

One benefit to this was that Andrew got to feed her.

Yes, we let the dogs on the couch; hence the couch cover. They are doing good with Andra. Dundee is scared of her but will come bark at me if i do not jump fast enough when she cries. Alley just wants to lick her.
