Happy Easter

I am very late in getting Easter cards out but here are her Easter pictures. We did not have much luck this time. The lady taking the pictures was a freak. We told her Andra was a calm baby but she kept making really loud noises that made Andra scared and start to cry. The lady we had for her 6mon pictures was much better. I am glad we did not pay much for the pics. That said, I guess we got what we paid for.

1st swim

Andra went swimming for the first time today at Suzel and Carolyn’s house. It was a little cool so she did not stay in long; hence no swim suit. The pool itself felt good to Andrew and me, but I thought it would be too cold for Andra. Suzel was nice enough to warm up the spa part and then turned it off so it would not be too hot for Andra. Andra had fun splashing and “swimming” in the water. She had even more fun hanging with Suzel and Carolyn as Andrew and I swim. Thank you S and C.

We had a great weekend as a family. Nothing big just fun time together.

Hand me downs are great. This outfit is from Melaine, and Andra looked very cute in it.

More fun time outside. Andra loves her swing. She has moved up to the sitting position and still squeals in delight.

We are so ready to take Andra to the pool. She loves bath time so we hope she loves the pool as well. Her suit is still a little big but i am sure it will be great by June.

Happy Birthday Melanie!

It was just a birthday weekend. Today we went to celebrate Melanie's 5th birthday at Chuck-e-cheese . It was great to see Amanda and all the kids. Andra was so happy to see Melanie .

Happy 97th Birthday

We had my grandmother's 97th birthday party this weekend at her ranch.

It was alot of fun and we got to meet Anda's new cousin. Celia was born in December to my cousin Molly and her Husband Mark. Andra was so taken by the baby. I had to do everything to not let Andra grab her.

We have been trying to get a picture of Andra’s teeth, but it is hard. Can you see them?
The two bottom ones have been out for a while now we are working on the top two. You can feel them and I think them will be out soon. The drool is on.

Great weekend

Saturday we did some yard work. Andra came outside and did good in her pack-n-play for a while. Then took her 30min power nap. The only type of nap she will take.

Sunday started out cool, in the 60's but then was 88 by the afternoon.

Andra likes to sit and pull her self up on stuff. Here she is in the center of the bed. Thanks for the great UT outfit Jennifer.

a few days in Dickinson

We went for a short visit to my parents . Andra had fun on a horse that my parent have for the grandchildren.




We went to a fish fry on Friday at their church and went with them as they got a new car. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Start of spring break

We had a great first day of Spring break. It was in the upper 80s so we went for a walk, and ran little errands. It was just nice to know i did not HAVE to come home and grade. OK i should have but i didn't. Thank you Alba and Jim for the GREAT outfit!

Not a great picture but I wanted to show that Andra will do anything to get to the dogs. She pulled the blanket to her trying to get to Alley. She then rolled over to her back, and tried to roll to her. Yes, I have a hold of Alley's collar because if i didn't you would see Alley licking Andra.

Avocado and other food fun

Andra got to try avocado this week. At first she was not sure but then took to it. This week we will try cooked pureed sweet potato. I am going to try and "make" her food. Right now that means smash and add some water then mix. I am following the book "Super Baby Food". So far, so good and very easy.

Andrew is a whiz at feeding Andra. He makes noises and sings songs; she loves it. Andra is now a pro with rice cereal. For the most part she eats it without a mess. She sometimes likes to feel it with her hands but then she sucks on her fingers.

I cannot believe how fast the last 6 months have gone. She is such a blessing and a joy; even at 3am.

Earrings for Andra

I have very much been slacking on the blog posts. Andra, work, school, Andra, work and i am should clean the house at some point again. Well the big news here is that Andra got her ears pierced. She might have cried for 30secs at most and has not touch them since. I tried to get some pictures of them but sitting still is not high on the list of things Andra likes to do. Hope you enjoy this pics!

Bows...bows and more bows!!!!!

Andra wears bows, big bows, she has very little peach fuzz for hair. Her bows are head bands with bows attached. The other day we were at The Perk (a coffee shop) for Andrew’s coffee and a women said I was surprising her feminist side by putting a bow on her head. Con you believe that!! She is 5 ½ months old, she has no feminist side!!!!
She will wear a bow till she tells me, “Mom, no more bows!”

Andra has cereal for the first time

Today was the big day. Andra tried rice cereal mixed with breast milk tonight. She thought is was ok at best and only for a few bites. Then she just wanted to grab the spoon. I think it got too cold too fast.

Meeting the cousins

Andra got to meet her cousins from California this weekend. Heather, Andrew’s sister, Bryan, Charlotte and Mason came to Texas for a visit.
