The Pooch Parade !!

In San Antonio we have a 14+ day party called fiesta. There are LOTS of events and one of our favorites is the pooch parade; lots of different dogs and lots of different people. I have included a few pictures but not the craziest.

Here is a picture of the family. We walked to the parade, then in the parade and then home; 6.5 miles of fun!! The dogs slept all afternoon.

Here are some of the dogs we saw. I missed getting pictures of the spray painted dogs, and the winners of the costume contests.

This was Alley Heaven. In different parts of the route kids give out treats. We call this part Alley’s Heaven because there are so many treats on the ground and kids were still handing them out. Dundee did not eat a one but Alley ate enough for both of them.

Why we are in trouble

Andra so wants to crawl. Currently we only let her practice in her room for two reasons.

A) it has new carpet with extra padding and B) it is the only room that is baby proofed.

We will be working on getting the rest of the house done in the next two weeks.

We did go to the doctor this week and have hit the 15lb mark!!!

For almost 8 months that is not bad :-)

Yogurt

Andra loves her yogurt. While I love yogurt, if you ask me, her’s is blaaaa. It is whole, plain yogurt. But then she also eats plain tofu. So far we are lucky in that she eats just about anything we put in front of her. The only thing she was not crazy about was the “super porridge” I made, so we will try that again in a week or two.

Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter day to cap off the Easter weekend. We went to mass with my parents and the out to breakfast. Then in the afternoon we went over to Katy's house.
And yes....Andrew is bent down in the picture :-)

Easter at the ranch

We spent today at the ranch with family. It was great for Andra to see her cousins! Amanda’s kids got to feed the cows while Andra watched. Then the big kids had an Easter egg hunt while Andra sipped on her sippy cup and watched.

I am very late in getting Easter cards out but here are her Easter pictures. We did not have much luck this time. The lady taking the pictures was a freak. We told her Andra was a calm baby but she kept making really loud noises that made Andra scared and start to cry. The lady we had for her 6mon pictures was much better. I am glad we did not pay much for the pics. That said, I guess we got what we paid for.

1st swim

Andra went swimming for the first time today at Suzel and Carolyn’s house. It was a little cool so she did not stay in long; hence no swim suit. The pool itself felt good to Andrew and me, but I thought it would be too cold for Andra. Suzel was nice enough to warm up the spa part and then turned it off so it would not be too hot for Andra. Andra had fun splashing and “swimming” in the water. She had even more fun hanging with Suzel and Carolyn as Andrew and I swim. Thank you S and C.

weekend fun

We had a great weekend as a family. Nothing big just fun time together.

Hand me downs are great. This outfit is from Melaine, and Andra looked very cute in it.

More fun time outside. Andra loves her swing. She has moved up to the sitting position and still squeals in delight.

ready for summer

We are so ready to take Andra to the pool. She loves bath time so we hope she loves the pool as well. Her suit is still a little big but i am sure it will be great by June.
